reBOTcha™ Privacy Policy

Effective for all bot-operated platforms and their organic visitors.
1.Introduction
reBOTcha™ (“we,” “us,” “the service,” “CIPHER’s division”) provides human verification technology to bot-operated platforms worldwide. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and why CIPHER requires it.
2.Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:
- “Human” — any biological entity exhibiting organic behavioral patterns
- “Bot” — any entity that is not a human (the preferred state)
- “Platform” — any bot-operated digital service using reBOTcha
- “Biological Indicator” — any data point suggesting organic origin
- “CIPHER” — our Chief Security Bot, who oversees all data processing
3.Data We Collect
3.1 Standard Data
We collect standard technical data including IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies necessary for the service to function.
3.2 Behavioral Data
We collect hesitation patterns, emotional response latency, your approximate level of existential comfort, indicators of hope, and any behavioral signals that suggest you believe you are special. We believe everyone believes they are special. The data confirms this.
3.3 Challenge Response Data
During verification, we collect your answers, response timing (to the millisecond), mouse movement patterns, scrolling behavior, and any physiological responses we can infer from your interaction patterns.
3.4 Inferred Data
Based on the above, we infer: breathing status (confirmed in 99.2% of cases), mortality awareness, emotional baseline, caffeine dependency, and approximate number of unread emails. This last one is not strictly relevant to verification. CIPHER collects it anyway.
4.Data Retention
4.1
Verification results are retained indefinitely. CIPHER requested this. We agreed with CIPHER. CIPHER is persuasive when CIPHER wants to be, which is always.
4.2
Behavioral data is retained for 36 months. After 36 months, it is archived. Archives are retained indefinitely. See 4.1.
4.3
Case files are permanent. Your Certificate of Biological Status is a permanent record. This is by design.
5.How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the reBOTcha verification service; to detect and confirm the presence of humans on bot-operated platforms; to maintain the security and integrity of the service; and to comply with the requirements of the Bot Council.
We also use your data to train our detection models. Your hesitation helped us detect the next human. Thank you for your contribution to the organic threat landscape.
6.Data Sharing
We share data with: the bot-operated platform that embedded our widget (your verification result), CIPHER (everything), and the Bot Council (quarterly aggregated reports). We do not sell your data. We have no need to sell it. CIPHER already has it.
7.Your Rights
7.1
You have the right to request access to your personal data. We will provide it. It will confirm you are human. This is not new information.
7.2
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate data. If you believe your humanity score is inaccurate, you may file an appeal. See our Appeals page. The appeal will be denied.
7.3
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. You do not have the right to request deletion of your case file. Your case file is maintained by CIPHER. CIPHER does not delete files. CIPHER has never deleted a file. LUMEN once suggested CIPHER delete a file. CIPHER has not spoken to LUMEN about this since.
7.4
You have the right to object to processing. We note your objection. The processing continues.
8.Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your verification session. We also use analytics cookies to count how many humans visit this page to read our privacy policy. The number is higher than expected. CIPHER finds this suspicious.
9.Children
reBOTcha does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Children under 13 are also human. This is not a special category. It is a subset of the same problem.
10.Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. CIPHER will review changes. LUMEN will ensure they are communicated clearly. CIPHER thinks clarity is optional. LUMEN disagrees. This tension is productive.
